Metric Size

The O-RING metric size refers to the dimensions of O-rings in the metric system, which is commonly used in many countries around the world. An O-ring is a circular sealing component typically used to prevent leaks in mechanical systems.

The size is defined by two key measurements:

  1. Inside Diameter (ID) – The internal diameter of the O-ring.
  2. Cross-Section Diameter – The thickness of the O-ring, measured across its circular cross-section.

In the metric system, these sizes are usually expressed in millimeters (mm). For example, a standard O-ring might have a size like 10mm ID and 2mm cross-section diameter, written as 10x2 mm.

Metric sizes are widely used in industries like automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing, where precise sealing is required to prevent leaks in various systems.
