O-Ring splicing kits are essential tools for creating custom-sized o-rings, enabling quick and effective field repairs. These kits typically include o-ring cord in various cross-section sizes, a splicing jig, a cutting blade, rapid-set adhesive, and a step-by-step instruction card. Both standard and metric splicing kits are available in a range of materials, durometers, and profiles to suit different needs. Spliced o-rings are designed primarily for static applications. While on-the-spot splicing provides a convenient temporary sealing solution, superior sealing performance can be achieved with hot-spliced vulcanized o-rings for static applications or molded o-rings for both static and dynamic environments.
